Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality in the Earthquake Zone

Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality has sent 70 trucks of relief supplies including humanitarian needs, mainly bread and water, as well as staff, vehicles and equipment to the earthquake zone.

Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality has been carrying out emergency work since the first day after the earthquake in Kahramanmaraş, which caused major destruction in 10 cities. In addition to humanitarian supplies, Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality continues to provide specialized staff, vehicles and equipment support to the disaster area.

Since February 6, when the earthquake happened, the Metropolitan Municipality, with the support of its citizens, has mobilized 27 vehicles carrying 70 trucks of relief supply, rescue vehicles, diggers, excavators, cranes, search and rescue equipment, funeral transport vehicles, minibusses and 250 specialized staff to the region.

The Metropolitan Municipality has delivered thousands of relief supply such as bread, water, heaters, diapers, baby diapers, food, coats, duvets, pillows, towels, sweaters, shoes, sleeping bags, blankets, socks, patient diapers, sanitary napkins, cleaning supplies, children's clothes, adult men's and women's clothes, various food products, tents, medical supplies, generators, power banks, dog and cat food, bird feed, animal feed to be given to animal producers. The teams are also continuing the production, transportation, and setup of mobile toilets, which are urgent in the earthquake zone. The Metropolitan Municipality will continue to send relief supplies to Hatay, Gaziantep, Adana, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, Adıyaman, which were affected by the earthquake, in coordination with AFAD.
