Legal Counsel

Canan Karaosmanoğlu Alıcı has graduated from Boğaziçi University with a double major in Political Science & International Relations and Sociology departments. She received her master's degree in European Politics from K.U. Leuven University in Belgium, and then graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law. Between 2011-2019, she worked as the International Relations Coordinator of SODEM in Brussels.

Since August 2019, Canan has been the General Manager of Izmir Expo Company (IZFAS). She has expertise in international communication, law, management of fairs and events, relations with institutions, and public diplomacy.

Canan supports SODEM in legal affairs and international relations.

Program Coordinator

Kerem Ziya Yangöz graduated from Bornova Anatolian High School in 2008. He received a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Middle East Technical University in 2015. Since he comes from a family actively involved in tourism, Kerem gained his first professional experience in this sector. Afterwards, he worked as an executive in renewable energy and energy efficiency areas for five years. He studied in different European countries, including France and England. He participated in national and international competitions as a licensed athlete of the Turkish Dance Federation. He won medals and obtained experience as an instructor and choreographer.

Kerem worked in a position focusing on strategy development and coordination in the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. Since 2019, he has been the Coordinator of Protocol and the Assistant to the Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality.

As SODEM’s program coordinator, he supports the association in institutional communication and general coordination matters.

Program Coordinator

After completing her education at the Bornova Anatolian High School, Ceren Ünsever received her bachelor's degree in International Relations from Bilkent University in 2004. Following her master’s in International Management at the Dokuz Eylül University, she worked in various positions at the Turkish Ministry of Customs and Trade for five years. Currently, she works in the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Department of Foreign Relations and Tourism.

She is interested in culture, art, and sports and aspires to focus on developing policies and strategies in these areas. She is also a referee for the Turkish Basketball Federation.

Ceren supports SODEM for website editing and program coordination.

Art Director

Fikriye Yeltetik graduated from Eskisehir Anadolu University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Graphics, in 2008. Through the Erasmus Programme, she completed a part of her education in the Noordejike Hoogeschool in the Netherlands. She worked in the design teams of large agencies in Istanbul as an art director and corporate consultant for famous global and Turkish brands and won multiple awards. Between 2013-2019, she took roles in various projects and works of different agencies in Izmir, providing design consultancy services to corporations and associations.

Since 2019, she has been working as the Art Director in the Communication Directorate of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality.

Fikriye supports SODEM in the design of institutional documents and websites, as well as in all creative works and projects.
